Learn to Row
There are three Learn to Row courses that are run during the summer months of the year at the Lake Tuggeranong Rowing Club. Each course covers all of the basic skills that are needed to learn how to row (indoor and outdoor).
Our courses are sculling based – meaning that we teach you how to row a scull (two oars) with the skills of this type of rowing applicable to be transferred into sweep oar rowing (one oar).
Length: Three weeks (6 sessions)
Days & Times: Tuesday & Thursday evenings 6:00 – 8:00pm
Open to: Anyone over the age of 13* (Year 7)
Cost: $180 per person
Location: Lake Tuggeranong Rowing Club (underneath the Tuggeranong Library 145 Cowlishaw Street, Greenway, ACT) shed door opposite the green pontoon.
2018 Course Dates:
Spring Course #1: 16th of October – 1st November
Spring/Summer Course #2: 27th November – 13th December
Summer Course #3: 12th February – 28th February

*Please note, learn to row participants must be able to swim 100 meters in exercise/sports clothing.
